Hi, I’m Julia
I grew up in a small town in Northern Idaho watching my dad build a farm from scratch. I never learned to ski or traveled to Europe as a kid, but I did learn the value of hard work and caring for the people around you.
In 2025, I decided it was time to use my fifteen years of operations and team management experience to help women founders become wildly successful. Esserly was born.
The name Esserly has it’s own story. My last name, Esser, in German means “to eat.” As someone who grew up in the low-fat 90’s when women were expected to be as small as possible, I always hated the meaning. With Esserly, I’m reclaiming it. Esserly is an adverb meaning “to feast” — on what you love most about your life and business.
When I’m not working with clients, you can find me running with a run club (including the slow running group I lead — The Plod Squad), teaching barre, reading a fantasy book or hanging out with my nieces and nephews.

Who is Esserly actually for?
Women founders who have built something real and now need it to run without them. If you're a solo founder who's grown past the "doing everything yourself" stage, or a small team where everything bottlenecks through one person (probably you), this is for you. If you're pre-revenue or still figuring out what your business is, that's okay — but Esserly isn't the right fit yet.
What makes Esserly different from a consultant or coach?
A consultant or coach will tell you what you should do — I will be an active partner in creating the strategy and then implementing the solutions. I build actual systems — the kind that stick, that your team can use, that don't fall apart the second I leave. I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm here to build the infrastructure that makes it possible.
How does it work?
It starts with a discovery call — 30 minutes, no pressure, just a conversation about what's going on in your business. If we're a good fit, I'll send over an intake form to get the details I need. From there, I build a proposal tailored to your specific situation, and we get to work.
Do I have to be based in Seattle?
Nope. Everything is done remotely. I work with founders anywhere.
